Megan Carter

Vice President of Operations

My name is Megan Carter and I am a sophomore Theatre Major with a Minor in Strategic Communication. My job as the Vice President of Operations is to facilitate assembly meeting operations, maintain internal communication within the student government, record and distribute the minutes of all SGA assembly meetings, and supervise the process of creating new student organizations. I am also responsible for the operations of the campus shuttle bus. Being on Operations Board my freshman year made me realize how much I loved connecting with students and helping them to become informed of the happenings of the University and this position allows me to continue doing so. This year, my board is really looking to expand the audience that SGA is able to reach.

Outside of SGA, I have many other interests on and off campus. I love all things film and music, and consider the stage a second home. I enjoy searching for vintage clothing, antiques, and new baking recipes.

Favorite Butler Memory

At ButlerPalooza last year I was in the front row. I caught a drumstick from Youngblood Hawke and all the members of the band signed it. AND Alice Katz told me she loved my hair. I kept wondering when I was going to wake up from this dream but I never did, so I’m pretty sure it happened.
