NO FEAR GEAR: Take a Hike

I personally prefer backpacks with a lot of pockets!

It’s March… St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, oh and SPRING BREAK!  I must say, I am anticipating my experience here in the UK; the nice thing about traveling here is that everything is so darn close!  So, why not take advantage of the different sites — especially the countryside.  When exploring areas like these, the gym duffle just won’t cut it — a solid hiking bag (i.e. backpack) is just what you need!  They are perfect for storing weight equally, and can hold all of your needs for a week or more.  However, (at least I personally find) these come in handy also for the aiports, especially with travel restrictions.  In fact, I intend to go to Ireland, back to London and then fly to Spain using my trusted what I like to call, “Fabric Turtle Shell.”  Therefore, I can avoid awkward shuffling in crowded areas and know that everything is sealed.  The best part?  They are surprisingly inexpensive depending on your travel goals, size and type.  The one pictured above was found here, but you can also find other great bargains almost anywhere — I found mine at Target my senior year of High School and she’s still proving me strong!

Whether it be the Rockies or the Miami this year, this classic childhood piece is sure to serve more than it did in the classroom back in the day, providing you space for all of your travel needs.  Keep and active mind and active body, and enjoy your spring break everyone!

My turtle, it's on me everywhere. Always in style!
