Who says pumpkins can’t be for sweating?

Instead of closing October’s pumpkin feature with a recipe, I decided to opt for a little workout and just look what I found!  Check out this Pumpkin Weight Workout by The Personal Trainer Girls.  Don’t knock it ’till you try it…. this actually looks like it could be challenging.  I’ve heard of using gallons of water or chairs when substituting for weights during a workout… but pumpkin??!  This looks crazy, but fun!  I would love to see someone try this and send me a pic.  You could do this either solo or  with a partner!  Who knew pumpkins could be used for more than just eating and carving?

*Note: for you cardio crazies, it would be fun to add a component involving some plyometric/agility moves at the end of the circuit.  For example, after circuit two, try your hand at this:

60 seconds jumping jacks

60 seconds skiers

60 seconds split hops

60 seconds burpees (add a push-up in between for an extra challenge)

Finish off with 10 tuck jumps. 

Repeat this cardio circuit once, then do the weighted pumpkin circuit once more, if you dare!
